Summary: The home is updated modern rustic. We loved the closed in porch and it had everything we needed. I enjoyed thoughtful details like a s’more kit, firewood, k cups, leftover spices, makeup wipes and laundry detergent. The kayaks are great. It was just too windy to go very far. We also used the fishing poles, outdoor fire pit and grill. The location in some ways is ideal. It is close to town and things we wanted to do in the region. We flew into Bangor, which is close. The view is very nice. The only drawback is the road alongside the house. We knew it was there but there is more traffic than expected. Inside the house it is pretty quiet though. A nice hike nearby is Great Pond Mountain about 30 minutes away. We ate at the locallobster place and there are other good looking options. Overall it was a very good stay. The hosts are very communicative and check in was super easy.
