Picture yourself and your family relaxing by our private pool while you enjoy the peace and quiet of our home sitting on just over 1/2 acre of wooded seclusion. Do you want a quiet and charming retreat with tons of room inside and the occasional wildlife sighting outside? If so, then look no further! Please note pool is NOT heated. We just had the pool replastered and additional work done so it is ready for our summer visitors! We also screened in and decorated the back porch in late 2022 with seating for 7. The pool has seating for 6 and also has 6 nice loungers to catch some rays.
This home is in the popular Alamo Ranch area, and we updated it in late 2019 with new floors, furniture, paint and a few extra touches.
Home sits on over ½ an acre with tons of trees and millions of stars in the night sky. Perfect to be viewed from the pool area which can hold all the homes guests. Be on the lookout as you may even see the occasional deer, opossum, lightning bugs, skunk, racoon, armadillo, squirrel or other wildlife! The home’s subdivision backs up to the popular 12,244 acre Government Canyon State Natural Area which is a great place to go hike, picnic or ride bikes. It is also bordered by a recharge zone and water way for added peace and quiet.
This home away from home is for those who want to stay in a quiet neighborhood just outside city limits and yet close to several of the major area attractions (Sea World & Fiesta Texas), conveniences, malls, movie / entertainment centers and shopping in the area. Medina Lake and the popular Paradise Canyon for boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, picnicking or floating down the Medina River are also just down the road! Lackland AFB is also only 25 minutes away. Riverwalk & downtown is within reach and 30 minutes away.
We are offering the perfect get away for anyone looking for some peace and quiet yet to be close enough to town for all the conveniences. Recently completed road leading to house is now 4 lanes (2 each way) for added convenience.
Home features 2 separate, comfortable living areas, 2 eating areas, 4 bedrooms, and 2 & 1/2 baths. Plenty of room for everyone in the family to have some of their own personal space or be together. Perfect for two families or a group of friends as home sleeps 5 upstairs and 4 downstairs. Upstairs features the combo main bedroom/ bath, two additional bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Downstairs features a bedroom with a queen bed, a sofa sleeper, and a 1/2 bath. Main bedroom added a new king bedroom set in 2022 with new mattresses!
Home has two separate living areas, both with Roku TV's which allows you to have added space for everyone! We have family games, books. local magazines and DVD's available for your use to help enhance your stay. We would love for you to become one of our regular families that visit us every year or two.
POOL DISCLAIMER: The swimming pool is serviced once each week by a professional pool company. There are no guarantees or warranties on the pools condition between servicing. Items like windstorms, rain, severe weather, and other acts of nature are not the fault of the owner. The pool is serviced weekly like any other pool so in between services there may be leaves, bugs, dirt or other natural occurring debris found. These situations do not warrant any type of refund or other type of compensation to the guest.
The pool is unavailable from October 1st through April 1st. The pool is unheated and not serviced or available during this timeframe.
The back porch also after severe weather may have debris from dirt to leaves. It is cleaned after each guest’s departure, however, can get dirty during bad weather between guests as our home is in a rural area. All floaties and pool accessories have been left by previous guests. These items are NOT safety checked and should be used at your own risk.
Also, the jacuzzi that is pictured has not worked for over 22 years and is not heated. If you want to use the pool during non-peak season, please ask if it can be made available prior to your stay.
