Summary: This was our second stay - we were very impressed first time round however extremely disappointed with this visit. We’d booked a more expensive room with garden view to be given a room that directly overlooked a wall albeit through a 5” opening in the window. The sleeping area up a flight of stairs had a window that wouldn’t open at all. Equally the friends we were with booked the similar room with garden view and again were met with a view of the extractor fans and no garden view at all. The hotel was clearly unable to fulfill our request, would not move us due to being ‘fully booked’ yet very happy not to mention this and took our full payment in advance anyway. Terrible. We went for a stroll around the grounds in the morning where we had to avoid several pieces of plastic and a large heap of broken glass plus tables that had not been cleared, cigarette packets and yet more broken glass. Absolutely disgusting as there could have been young children or dogs running round. I’m so disappointed and will certainly not be returning.
