Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location was great, with easy access to grocery stores and downtown Kapa'a. Comfortable driving distance to both ends of the road (Polihale and Hanalei). Having a full kitchen in the apartment was great for a week long stay, and it was well stocked with pots, pans, dishware, utensils, coffee pot, etc. Convenient washer and dryer in the bathroom; apartment was stocked with beach and bath towels, boogie boards and snorkel gear. It wasn't just a place to keep our stuff and sleep at night, it was our home away from home. You want to explore the Island and soak up as much Aloha as you can, but you also want your down time to be as enjoyable - I never felt like we were wasting time by staying in.

Negative: Our screen door was a little janky, got stuck a lot, but it did not detract at all from the experience of the property. Parking was tight, but no problems with it. The driveway of the property exits to the busy main highway with regular times of heavy traffic, but drivers were very generous and patient and allowed us to merge easily.
